I'm Todd; Vargr on a fair few forums.  In 1980 I picked up GDW's little black Traveller books, and haven't stopped gaming since.  I hail from Maine, but live in Oregon now.

Recently I have been looking for a fairly robust, highly customizable, yet simple set of rules as I am introducing a few friends to the wonders of Role Playing games.  I'd been reading review after review of various games, and just hadn't found anything that met all of my needs.  That is, until I looked at the v6 Engine.  "Perfect", I thought and immediately purchased Atomic Highway.

I must say I am truly impressed.  I am looking forward to the next supplement with bated breath!  Myself, I've got a lot of plans for the v6 Engine and I hope to share them with the forum.

Welcome, Vargr. (My favorite Traveller species Smiley)  It's fun introducing new friends to the hobby isn't it? I'm doing the same at present.

I want to point out that it's V6, not "D" though. I say this not out of oversensitivity or nitipickiness, rather because the D6 system is West End Games' house system, and I wouldn't want confusion to creep up for you when talking about RPGs with others.  Wink

That said, I think that V6 is really quick to learn and teach, and has a lot of potential to grow.  It's just started revvin' up!

Too true.  Sorry about that!  I've been spending a lot of time these past few days with the venerable d6; it just sort of slipped!  It is the v6 Engine - and it really does have a lot of potential to grow.

    Hi All,

Rudedd here from the Southern Tier of NY, a modern day wasteland for gamers.  Read about the V6 system and was intrigued enough to purchase Atomic Highway.  I'm glad I did, it seems like a nice clean quick system.   I'm definitely hooked and want to try it out.   Hopefully I will get a chance to play it at some point.  If not face to face, maybe by pbp.  Is anyone interested in a pbp game?

    Hello,

I am Thierry from France... I have been role playing since 17 years old to 26, then I have stopped for ten years, mostly because of my job, and now I am rediscovering the hobby. I was found of an old french Post Apo RPG called Bitume, I always had a lot of pleasure to play this game. "Unfortunately" he is owned by a friend of mine and difficult to find today. Fortunately it gave me the opportunity to buy Atomic Highway RPG. The game is really great and the V6 Engine just perfect, I find it perfectly balance (simple and in the same time very flexible). Now I hope that I will find some people to play with. I will buy Irradiated Freaks (and also when he will be edited in book).

Some images of the old Bitume and one extension, to give you an idea (the 5th and 6th edition ten anniversary, I hope that your game will have the same longevity):
    or

I think that I won't resist a long time before offering some ideas for some vehicles inspired by the cool designs you can see on Devian Art.

I also like wargames, I enjoy especially Lock'n Load Publishing products.

    Thierry  Wink

P.S : I hope that my English is not too rusty.

Hello my name is James and I have a gaming problem.

I have been running or playing games for as long as I can remember, or as long as I wish to remember so I do not realize how old I am now. Not much of a forum person because I find some times I cannot handle everyone getting into 'flame' wars (hope that is the right term) over rules and whatever the subject happens to be being discussed at the time. However, looking over the forums here I noticed everyone was laid back and was just having a good time so I decided to throw my hate in. Besides there is too much going on to make gaming miserable as well.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

And thanks for making a truly nice game and rule system (though I am only on my second read thruogh so that may change  Wink ).

Welcome to the forums, folks, and love those Bitume covers. Smiley

Yeah, as forums go, we're very laid back, but it certainly means we manage to avoid the flamewars you might see elsewhere. Smiley

Outstanding system though I've yet to play-test it myself.  I'll likely be getting Irradiated Freaks once I have a game going.

Rudedd, I may be interested in a pbp if you're still interested.

    Welcome new folk.

I love the cover for Bitume Mk5. It's not an Adam Warren piece, but there are a lot of stylistic similarities. That's a good thing in my book!
